making a sig for sm?

I want to make a sig for my short media with my computer stats and a picture behind it, how do i make one?

Know any HTML? Or better yet have frontpage with Office?

Prolly the easiest way unless you know someone that does know HTML and can do it for you.

Depends what you want to do. You could just have an image like mine where you have overlayed text onto it, or you could have a scrolling sig with the stats in the scroller and the entire thing in a table like Armo's.

You can't just "make a sig" you have to be specific.

Hand code it in notepad

Use a program like Dreamweaver or Frontpage or GoLive

Have someone make one for you

The image which the sig looks for is infact a randomiser I coded in PHP, which when loaded puts all my current sigs I have made, into an array, shuffles it, then picks the first one in the array then then sends that URL as the header for the image so it looks at that other file instead.

I am going to streamline it at some point (it's only 20 or so lines of code atm) so I can add extra sig images even easier.

What type of sig do you want to make? It's basically a mini HTML page, al you have to do it put a bit of code there or an image, but no-one can help you untill you tell us what you actually want. As I said, you can't just say "I want to make a sig", you have to be specific. It's like saying "I want to build a house".

is php a spin off of html c++ or java scripting, cuz arrays sound pretty complex for html

If you just want an image, all you need to do is go to the signature box in your control panel (the link at the top of the forums) and type in the box -

http://www.address.com/of/the/file.jpg

But obviously type the right address.

PHP is a server side language (HTML is client side) and you need to run it on a server which supports PHP and has it installed. I have never done any C or Java so I couldn't tell you what it is like in comparison i'm afraid.
