Specs are in the sig.

I only got the 2500 up to 2.31 ;/. I tried raising the core voltage to no avail. At the moment i'm running at 1.85. I had a tough time getting the fsb higher than 208 without bsods and random shutdowns. I tried raising chipset voltages and ddr voltage, but nothing seemed to get it above that.

Then tried raising the multipler from 11.5 to 12, obtained some more bsods and tried lowering the fsb, eventually i got it down to 194. I'm disappointed I thought i would be able to get 2.4 at least, but I guess i expected too much out of the chip. Another problem is that when i go into windows i get system recovered from a fatal failure message over and over again. I'm going to try and lower the multipler back to 11 and raise the fsb once again. Memory timings are at Turbo speeds 7-2-2-2.0.

Onto my next issue, overclocking my Connect3d Radeon 9700 non pro to pro speeds. That means a jump from 275/270 to 325/310. I tried raising each by 10, but I got some random shutdowns. Looks like the stock cooler i have on the card isn't going to support much.

On the issue of 2500's, nf7-s's and pc3200 please tell your experiences of how far you have pushed the fsb and what speeds and temps you are getting and what voltages you are using.

Confused and somewhat disappointed,
al

P.S. I'm having trouble configging my computer to connect to the wireless network and no one seems to be replying. Please read this thread and post your best thoughts : http://www.icronticforums.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=1355

Today i lowered the multi to 10 and got the fsb up to 227. Then tried raising the multi to 10.5 on 1.875 vcore and got that damn siren.

I will have a NF7-S and 2500+ soon with my 2x 512MB PC3500 HYPER-X (already have the ram) to do some overclocking.. people have bet around 3000+ easy and 3200-3400 with some burn in and tweaking

DoM-aL, pretty good results on that 2500+. It's hard to say why it won't do the high fsb speeds apart from the fact that Bartons are traditionally known for that. Also some will do better than others.

You may help your efforts by maximising the cooling of the chip and possibly performing the mods on the board.eg VDD, VDDR

Good luck

Thought about the L12 mod? Making the chip back to 266?
That helps a lot on Nforce2 boards.

Please post your results guys, and the details of how you coaxed (or will coax) out those extra hertz. No 2 is due for overclocking, probably starting next week. It'll be my first stab at overclocking an NF2 system.

Used a SLK-900u with TT Smartfan II.

upgraded thermal compound on CPU , NB, SB, GPU,

add Zalman passive HS to SB,

upgraded 9500np HSF,

ran good memory.
