It's 12:30 in the afternoon here, and I thinking of food. Something in the neighborhood of a large, satisfying sandwich with cheese(s), veggies (lettuce, etc) meat (duh!) dressings, etc.
Edit: Oh, and PLEASE dont forget the bread!
What's YOUR fav sandwich? After the ‘12" sub’ fiasco, there should be some interesting ideas... :vimp:
I'm happy with lettuce, turkey, and good ol' fashion french's mustard.
//EDIT: Wheat bread.
Fried spam and cheese with Miracle Whip, please. :D ;D

ewwww miracle whip is soo nasty, blah
Let me tell you, down here no one eats miracle whip that is unless they are raised up north ( not saying anything bad about people up north ) but down here it's Dukes baby, the best mayo around :respect:.
My favorite sandwich though hame and cheese with some mustard or either some Dukes mayo, and lettuce of course.

My own creation that would be close to a chicken cordon blue wrap.
Take one chicken patty - cook it - then cut it into chunks. Put that on a tortilla, cover with a slice of ham, and 2 slices of Provolone. Heat for thirty seconds. Add chopped red onions and lettuce. Then finish off with a healthy splattering of Ranch dressing.
MMMMM Fattening.

A "Brians Special Sandwich"
Generally turns into a sandwich about 3.5-4 inches thick :)
Two pieces of bread, mayo on both, then two pieces cheese, and then all the ham and turkey you can jam onto it. Add mustard to taste.
Also goes well after toasting the bread!!
Dark German Rye (buttered), hard salami, pepperoni, green olive slices, well-aged White Cheddar.
Baked.

Italian bread, roasted red peppers, fresh mozzarella, and marinated artichoke hearts. Mmm-mmm good. Alternatively, imported italian provolone can be used instead of the mozz, for a very different flavor.
Goes well with a side of shiraz. And kalamata olives.

sourdough baguette with roasted chicken breast, mild pepper rings, lots of raw onions, a dash of oregano, salt, and pepper, a few tomato slices, a slice or two of any white cheese, and then douse it with red wine vinegar.

those are great and I like most of the Cheesteaks in that area all the way up through the Lehigh valley. Some of the little roadside stands near Allentown are just fantastic! I'm remebering one near New Tripoli that just may be my favorite.
Since those are currently out of the picture I will take a good old Grilled Cheese any day. Ad some cream of tomato soup and I'll stay till it's all gone! :D

Hot pastrami on Jewish rye bread, served with Dijon style mustard.
Second choice Reuban - again Jewish rye, corned beaf, sharp Swiss or Emmantaller cheese, authentic sauerkraut (none of the cheap apple vinegar sauerkraut). Served with mustard and horseraddish!

Leo,
I bet you would like the ones they make at a little cafe just south of Anchorage that makes them on fresh made bread that is a Jewish Rye/ Pumpernickel swirl.
