Yes, that right, iTunes is now availible for windows,

I'm a multiplatform user, and this is basically the best music player i'v ever used in my life.

It lets you use AAC/MP4, MP3 and everything else....

Download it, and if you have an iPod, ditch that spastic Music Match software....

Try it, and tell us how you found the software?

I've been playing with it since Friday now. I don't have an ipod (not in the budget) but the software itself is working fine for me no buggs or anyting. Bit of a memmory pig compared to my venerable winamp 2.0 but it has a tonne of added features and I love the library so sweet.

I've recently started using it. It is a very good player and media organizer. My only problem is it is not compatible with my main machines CD-RW. It will work on my secondary machine just fine. I guess Nero will have to continue with that job.

Hm...iTunes not working with your main CD-RW?

Thats a shame, because i always thought that the iTunes for windows had an upper hand to its Mac version, because it supported any brand of CD burner on the market. I needed to hack the Authoring support.divice.plugin on my Mac to get the cheap Sony CRX-300 combo to work with iTunes.

I'll try to research more to why its not working, but on my wintel machine my Teac burner works fine.

My personal opinion, iTunes for windows is a little bit slower on my PIII800Mhz than on my G4 450Mhz. but i don't mind, my sister now can connect to my Mac and listen to all my music without having to do any network configurations.

ok,

Apple just released iTunes4.1.1

to fix somethings, including support for old cd burners.

this should help you out.

I gave up.. No ogg support, and felt too Mac for my tastes. I'm still using dbpoweramp, which I found on the old Icrontic in one of those must have software threads..

Its very good, but ugly.. http://www.dbpoweramp.com/

I use foobar2000, kinda plain layout at first but with a little pseudocode it can look really good. plus the quality of the output is topnotch
