audigy 2 eax features problem

hey guys, i got an audigy 2 platinum ex a couple of weeks ago, and got the MediaSource software installed, but when I use the EAX features (effects), I can only do so through the remote control... when I try to access EAX through mediasource it says it can't detect any Sound Blaster cards...

I have the latest drivers from creative installed too... any ideas?
