Hello, there.
Recently I keep receiving error messages when using Microsoft Office Word (Word XP or Word 2003). It said that the MS Office Word must be shut down. The message box also provided a check box for reviving the document and restarting the MS Office Word and asked if I wish to report the error.
I would like to seek advice from you guys as to how this problem be solved. Any input is greatly appreciated.

Try a repair install of Office.

Tried that. I even tried reinstalling both Office XP and Office 2003 but I was out of luck.

Are these legit versions or hacked ones? If they are hacked ones the could have a bad file in them. Also does this happen everytime or only with some documents.

Delete all temp files. I know it sounds hinkey, and a lot of solutions to M$ issues are :p. I work tech support, you'd be surprised how many times I just blow away these things and it starts working.
Other solutions include checking windows update for a needed patch, or maybe even a hardware issue (like a bad RAM stick).
Without a specific application error or code, there's little you can do (technet is hardly useful when you DO have an error ;) ).

Hi,
I seem to have found the solution, i.e. I got to Control Panel, System and increased the size of the "Pagefiles" from 766 MB (Default size is 1.5 times of RAM size) to 1280 MB (2.5 times). After saving the settings and rebooting the PC, the problem had gone -- no more receiving error message for shutdown from MS Office Word, at least up to the present moment.
Thank you all for the inputs.

That's all well and good that it's working but a gig of page files that's insane..... Seriously
