Problems opening an imac DV

Does anyone know how to remove the bottom part of an imac case? I was trying to help a friend do it thyis morning, but we just couldn't get it to come off.

We removed all 4 screws on the bottom of the case enabling it to be lifted up at the back, but it seems to be held on at the front by something we can't see. We've had a look around and tried to pop the front off, but there doesn't appear to be any kind of clips that hold it on. The only possible thing that we thought that it could be was the dvd rom drive.

If anyone has any idea's please let me know. TIA.

This is the 'new' imac I presume? I don't have much experience with iMacs but I did buy a Macworld mag issue a few months back that includes instructions how to remove the case. I can post it when I get off work today.

No it's an old imac. It's alright though we finally managed to persuade the piece of shit to come off. Thanks anyway :)
