Recently my GeForce4 Ti4200 crapped out and I decided to buy a ATI 9600XT. The problem is that I now get nothing but the monitor standby screen when I boot up with the new card and the old card(the old one used to boot up fine and then lock up). I have tested the monitor on another system and it works fine, and I have tested the GeForce card in another system and it doesn't work. Is this a broken AGP slot? And if so, what's my cheapest best alternative for a new motherboard? Besides the Video cards my components are Abit IT7 mobo, WD80GB JB HD, 512MB PC2700 Samsung Ram, P4 1.6A @1.98Ghz. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
