yet another hard drive issue. I have this "server" pc. I use the asus a7n8x-e motherboard. I have a bunch of drives. i use a maxtor IDE pci card. Recently I installed 2 serial ata drives to the onboard serial ata connectors. But now the drives connected to the pci card wont be detected in post.

can I fix this?

I'm sure you can set it in bios for it to boot from IDE/scsi or sata. You might have it set wrong. Check the manual.

My OS is on the onboard IDE as well as my burner, dvd, and other hard drive, and it boots fine. Its just when it comes to my storage drives on the pci ide, they wont be detected, nor the pci card they are connected to

Hmmm, looks like the sata takes over. I thiink maybe the only way to fix it is to use a raid pci card. Other than that i'm grabbing at straws.
