2nd identical hdd problem

i recently bought 2 used identical hdd (seagate bara 3). i installed the first drive on an old duron 800. the drive was set to primary master, then i installed win xp pro and everything went on without any problems..

later, i wanted to install the second seagate drive, but the drive could not be detected in win xp.. but can be found on the screen before entering windows. the 2nd hdd can also be seen in device manager, but it shows "not initialized" under its properties.

how do initialize it? y doesn't explorer show the drive, even though its not formatted?

hello again, ive solved the problem already using.. computer management > disk management in admin tools. initialize and format through the disk management.
