I recieved a NF7-S motherboard from the Abit RMA dept. and it's junk. I give up on the peeps at Abit repair. All I get is "press delete to enter setup" but cant get any further. Just save this board for parts and buy a brand new board. What I need to know is : Whats the hottest new motherboards out or on the horizon.

Those are both individual experiences.
I have 2 NF7s and they rock. 2.5 and 2.4 GHz. Still the best board.

I am a AMD man. Thinking of going the 64 way, but also still considering the NF7-S. Anyone running a NF7-S with a 3200 on it? I had not heard anything about the bad Asus boards, thanks for that info. Someone told me the MSI neo something board was good, might check it out.

I have the MSI K8T neo for my A64 great board so is the abit too. I had an NF7-S with a 3000+ on it @ 2.4 ghz before i went A64. great setup. NF7-S is the best Xp board there is and for A64 I recommend the MSI or Abit.

who told you about asus motherboards are bad. i have been always using asus and didn`t have any problems. if they have problems then why in www.tomshardware.com they used an asustek p4c800 for doing an extreme overclock of 5,25ghz??? i am planning of buying a new motherboard also and what i see the asustek p4p800 deluxe is a very nice mobo that offers a lot feutures for overclocking

thats for P4. Ive used asus for most of my computing life until recently Ive been really disapointed in thier product. Not upto par as far as features and layout compared to Abit and MSI.

It's surprising that so many people have met with bad times running Asus Nforce 2 boards. I must have gotten a lucky board. However, I am a die hard Abit fan, now having both Max 3 boards. I haven't had a Pentium rig since my 233mmx, but after getting a 600mhz oc on air (without even working for it) I wonder what I have been waiting for. Even at 3.4ghz, it doesn't match the A64 3400+, but it tramples the bejesus out of my most recent Athlon XP (3200+ @ 2.4ghz). I guess what I am trying to say is I stand by Abit!

My best is OC ratio is on an old asus P3V4X? A PIII 500 OC'd to 900 something stable on air cooling.

Lanparty B or Infinity is the best NF2 performer, hands down. NF7 isn't close and i used to be a hardcore Abit fan. My NF7 is modded with all kinds of voltages and stuff. Still doesn't come close to the Lanparty "B" at stock. (with stock i mean modifications)

Not to shabby for a stock NF2 board. That's at 255X10 on lousy air. Just wait until i treat it with the Mach II.
