I was bored, so I went and made a trainer just for teh pinball game. I think it turned out pretty well. Did any of you Actually BELIEVE that I earned that score? :D

EDIT: Notice the folder with no name on my desktop? It had the trainer maker stuff, and i concealed it with Photoshop. Yay!

Wow! Thats 1337tz0r skillz right there! Making trainers! You gotta put up a tutorial on that on Icrontic! :loco:

Kanezfan, a trainer is something You (usually) boot up in the background and it lets you cheat in games. Ex. you might define keys to give ya $10,000 cash everytime you press F1, or F2 so you win and proceed to the mission. Thats a trainer.
If you want something that plays for you, get a bot, boot it up in diablo 2 battle.net.. but ahh thats another story :D

OK, ok, quick overview:

I used a program called Tsearch. It searches for values in memory. So I played the game till I had a score of 6500. Then I used TSearch and look for "6500" It may bring up anywhere from 1 to 2037951 results. Therefore, to figure out which one is the memory value I want to change, I have to play the game some moer..

I play till my score is 7500. I then programmed TSearch to look for values that increased by 1000. Lo and behold, there was only 1 value left. I changed that value to 112585604, and played for a little bit. I then lost the game, got the high schore, and got a pic. Nice, eh? :D

I made a movie showing EXACTLY how I did it. It is about 3 megs, uses DivX (http://www.divx.com), and is available for download HERE (http://home.comcast.net/~oudiophile/trainer.avi)

That is the coolest thing i've ever heard of. so could I do that with role palying games too? Like I could give myself level 800 to begin with?

It'll work with ANY PROGRAM, game or not. GHames just happen to be the most popular program to make trainers for. I mean, you really don't need a trainer to Give you ALWAYS RED COLOR in paint shop pro, catch my drift? :D

And yes, thats easily possible and easily done.
