Since I just visited the "somewhat" south state of Missouri and Arkansas on a fishing trip and saw many MANY MANY MANY rednecks I would like to know if any of you are one. I ofcourse am not.

However it's been my experience you don't have to go that far south to find rednecks in the states. Just travel to Ohio, in particular cities like Defiance, and Assumption. I mean really what the hell kind of name is Assumption for a city.

I actually was born in Ohio, lived in Richmond, VA and then been living with the Tarheel's, the Blue Devils, the Wolfpack and The CAROLINA HURRICANES for 13 years. :drinkup:

There is a larger fan base up here for NASCAR than in all of Sourth Carolina. Also a ton of pick ups around here. I sware, if it wern't 30 degrees right now, you would think you were in Georgia.

In my thinking, Florida is a big melting pot of screwed up voters, not really rednecks, Texans have there own version of rednecks, the west (east rockies and over) are to mountainess to be rednecks, the northeast is to busy, the north is just north plus there is too much snow on the ground to place all the rednecks "treasures" or garbage all over the ground, the mid states have a mix, and the biggest bunch of rednecks range from about Kansas City south to the Gulf of Mexico and also east, Tennessee possibly being the stupidest of the bunch? hmm...Al Gore lives there?

I'm here to cast my vote for Alabama!!! Around here though, the
"redneck badge of courage" isn't a pickup, it's a bombed out Camaro.
You know, the ones where all the main body panels are a different
shade of primer, at least one window is sheet plastic held on by duct
tape, and a bucket seat is a *REAL* bucket!

A little while back, some chick conned her way out of the Alabama
penal system by pretending to be pregnant. When the authorities
found out, instead of saying, "Boy, weren't we stupid!", and voiding
her release, they arrested the girl and her boyfriend for murder, since
nobody could come up with a kid, and actually got them convicted!!!
The girl has since been released again, but the guy, the last I heard,
was still trying to get out.

This is the only state I know of that votes down participating in
state-wide lotteries year after year, because "gambling is evil!!!!",
but what do we have in the the city of Birmingham, a dog-racing track,
which is about to start having horse-racing, but, only if the organizers
can get the state to allow video-gambling as well!

Redneck isn't a place, it's a "state of un-mind."
