I am confused, ATI has many variations of similar cards. Whats the difference between the Pro, XT, and the regular versions? I used to think the Pro just used 2 things instead of 1 like the regular to pump out twice the speed or something. Is this still true? What exactly is the XT? I thought the XT was a beefed up regular version that came no where close to the Pro, but on ATI's website it shows the 9800XT beating the 9800Pro. I don't see the dual ramdecks or whatever the dual thing was. I'm confused, please help.

i personally wouldnt buy an XT card agian. I had a 9600xt it blew just like the 9700 pro in my opinion. Frame rates werent up to par in my book Not enough bang for the buck

okay, well...

Is there any new news about new cards or anything? I like the 9600XT All in one, it is one HEAVY beast and comes with fm radio that I'd like in my pc. I've heard good things and it looks good. I forgot though, how does the 9600, 9700, and 9800 compare to the FX's? Is this it?

FX5600 < ATI9600 < FX5800 < ATI9700 < FX5900,5950 < ATI9800

Just wondering because I have a FX5600 non ultra that I would like to shift down to my "not really old" 4mb card in my old Crappy Comcrap and get a better one for my good system. Plan on purchasing between June and July probably, maybe sooner, probably not.

a 9600xt is on par (supposedly) with a 5700 ultra.
