i have the demo, when i play it eventually says my serial is invalid and shuns me out of the game. What the heck is going on? If it kicks me out for bad serial when no serial is needed I am very leary of buying the real thing with a serial.

Anyway, serial numbers have screwed me over in other games way too much, they make me not want to buy anything anymore, since they always stop working. I say out with serial numbers! The true "bad guys" are gonna get their hacked versions that work anyway, why not stop bothering us "good guys"

because they are gay??? no im sure there are tons of people that pay for it because there is a key.. anyway, for the demo, have u tried to uninstalling it and then reinstalling it? that usely will fix everything

Never had a serial no./key problem with any game. I hope you get it to work, cuz UT2K4 kicks ArSS!!! gonna get the real thing soon!!

in response to lilbro, yes I have reinstalled, and it happens on two separate computers. It will just randomally say it and kick me out of the game. It's no big deal with the demo because I can just restart the program, but it is still annoying, and if something like this happens with the full version then I would not buy it, although I really want it and should have got it when it was on sale!!! ($29.95 - an additional $10 UT2K3 rebate).

There were a lot of hacking issues in the demo. Most of them seem to have been resolved in the full version. If you DO ever have a problem where it kicks your CD key, check out the Atari forums. There's a huge post (I believe it is stickied) that tells you who to contact.
