I bought a new digi cam a few weeks back, so one of the engineers of where I work let me up onto the roof to take some pics. Pics have been reduced :jelly:
Teh roof!!! You need special permission to get up here.

Construction going on in every direction around the building. To the left (not pictured), our new office building is being built.

Washington Monument. I can also see a little of the White House. The engineer said next to it is the secret service HQ, and apparently they have some sort of glass box on the top with ppl looking with binoculars a few blocks down.

Church. George Washington University is directly on the right.

lmao... my luck i would be the one in the middle..
Nice! What camera did you get? I'd say your definitely in the capital city! Wife & I got a Fuji FinePix S5000, 3.1mp, with 10x zoom, wide angle lens, 128MB mem card. So simple to operate that my wife took it to a family gal party,(kinda like a tea party) and just got it out and set it on auto and took great pics. The clarity of these digital cameras today are just phenomenal. http://www.beachcamera.com/shop/Product.asp?ProdTypeList=&Sku=FJFPS5000 We are very pleased with it. I'll have to post some pics taken with it, for you all.

10x zoom?! Wow, nice! I bought a Canon PowerShot SD110. 3.2mp, 2.0x zoom (with 4x digital zoom... so it's advertised as 6x zoom) and a 128 SD card. I really like it because of its ultra-compact and flat size.
Looking at that link of your cam now - good stuff  Is the shutter speed fast like a regular analog cam?

Vers, It's not quite as fast. When you push the button down --it's like a split second and the shutter activates. We don't even notice it anymore, because we've gotten used to it. No problem at all.
Gnome, Niiice. That will be a good one for the fishing trips.
I forgot one other pic.

Just like I saw all over in Mexico! But with Micro cars.
Thinking about pictures just makes me want a camera! And I don't even own a descent film camera, although I have easy access to one which I love ($900 one). Digital cameras... why am I dreaming about digital cameras??????????

Versello, I didn't know you were in DC! I go to DC once every couple of months (I have a client there). I love the place. I just wish I had more chances to "hang out" there - it's always work work work when I go :)
