Question about tie fighter collectors cd

Ok i cant get my usb controller to work and it looks like im gonna have to get another controller thats non usb.... doesn anyone know how to get tie fighter to work with a usb controller?

Isn't that an old DOS game? Will it even recognize a USB game controller?

yes. but its made to run in win95 - winme i was just wondering if there is a patch out ther that would fix that for me or if anyone else had any solutions to my problem
