media player zooming problem

In windows media player now for NO PARTICULAR REASON AT ALL
it'll show whatever the media is at 200% BUT it'll only show the 100% part of it, so it all appears zoomed in.
anyone have any ideas?
i reinstalled WMP and DX9.0c

whats ur video card and what version of WMP are you using?

i'm using a GeForce 4 Mx440 with WMP9

did it do it with WMP 8?

nope, it has worked great with WMP9 for a long time, it just randomly decided not to today.
i've restarted, new drivers, dx9.0c, resintalled wmp9, and now i'm updating xp

so the xp update didn't fix it
and i just installed WMP10 and that didn't help either.

i guarantee you it's not hardware.

Try changing your screen resolution.

does nothing, i even tried different refresh rates.

I has a suspicion its somthing to do with the video card though

im running a latitude d800
