Is it possible to delete excell, access and powerpoint in Microsoft Office 2000, leaving only word? Unfortunately in Office 2000 there are no check boxes during the install in which you can pick which programs you want to install. Thank You for any suggestions.

in office 2000 when u install u just choose not to install this progam on ur hd, or when u use repair u do the same. there isn't a check box but there is a drop down box (has a pic of a hd in it) very simple to choose not to install.

Sorry, I've looked at the install and just tried what you suggested and there is no pop down menu. Office 2000 doesn't permit a custom install from what I can see.

Put in the office 2000 cd and it'll boot up one of the first screens asks what type of install you want. There are two options (forget what the first is since I always skip over it) but the second box is Custom install.
You choose custom install and 2 screens later it'll bring up a list of what you want to install you then go through the list right clicking on things and telling it to either install and run from computer, run from cd or not to install at all.

when the second guy told me to have the cd in and look at two screens past the custom install and notice that it gives you choices to run from the disc. The one I picked was labeled "unavailable," next to excell, access and powerpoint.
