be very careful, their heads like to crap out, other than that, they're fairly stable. Run forever if you take care of them.

rust rust rust
I think that's the AE86 in which case it's got RWD which if you wanna be a ricer is a bonus. Also there are quite a few aftermarket parts available for the car so fixing it up shouldn't be a problem.
On any car from the 80's especially from over sees rust will be an issue they were horrible for it.

No, nobody wants to be one of those but more often then not it ends up that way. Now granted it's often a Civic Syndrom but any import has the potential. The one fortunate thing about this Centra is well, it's kind of an ugly car with ugly lines so most people not in the know won't go for it. However if that year is the AE86 RWD model it's been coming around lately in pretty high demand because it's RWD. Now granted even with the majority of bolt on mods a drifter does not it make. But that's the appeal of the car.
However if you can pick up the car for $5000 put another $5000 of mods on it you can have a pretty decent track beast. Unfortunately the looks you are pretty much stuck with. Even the existing body kits won't turn it from an ugly duckling into a swan.
If it's the FWD year though well you'll have a nice reliable car just keep your eye on the rust especially around the wheel wells and door hinges.
