Yup. Took a pic of a flag, shot it on regular photopaper. Take a drop or two of developer, blow straight down on the drop(s) really hard and they shatter like that. Keep doing it till it looks sweet. It doesn't work just dropping it, not enough force I guess. Turns out really cool.

Not that I know of. I run all my spyware-adaware-virus programs and they don't pick anything up. I've used it for a couple of yrs now on multiple pc's without problems.

Going back to the original topic...

I've used variations of that wallpaper for a while, even had it on my phone for a bit along with a blackcombe theme. Works out quite well.

Cool! We've got an Oldie Goldie diner at our local mall too, which is similar. I like the classic cars and diners. Good ole Burger and Fries the way they used to make them. And fountain sodas! There are still a few old style carhop diners around. Saw a show on a couple of weeks ago where they say the carhop burger joints are coming back. People like the idea of pullng up and getting curbside service from a pretty girl on rollerskates...

After seeing some of your stuff guys... I decided to take a slightly different approach, plus to be a tad original I took that tyra reid pic and did a quick and simple filter to it to make it kinda... anime-ish. I'll probably change it some more, paint in some extra hair so it fits better on a 1280x1024 screen istead of the horrible 1280x960. Added samurize and rainlender still tweaking them and adding cool new toys. I wanna get my memory usage down as well, but I do alot of things at once too so perhaps not :drinkup:

I just added a second image... the background I decided to take a different route after seeing a trailer again for Sin City.... tried capturing the look a bit. Quick work really, but I think the desaturated almost black and white with some colors showing and the comic feel comes through well :cool:

I also added the top of her head and some leg :drinkup:

Heh. Yes, in fact, I do have pets... Two dogs and some fish. Sadly though, none of my pets are ~6' tall and bipedal, with human eyes, brains, and legs, opposable thumbs and large breasts. :( :bawling: :p

Hello everybody...this is my first post..thought I'd share my desktop that took me all week to get looking right. *S*

My wife wanted something like an acquarium...so I first got a good underwater wallpaper pic..then downloaded Desktop-X for the fish widgets that swim around on the screen. I opened Photoshop and made some pearls, putting the logos of the programs and files onto them, and getting a plugin that lets me save the images into .ico format, I saved them each as icons.
Finally, I used an old coding trick (alt-0160) to rename each shortcut into black spaces (no more ugly shortcut labels) and tweaked the registry to get rid of those ugly little arrow overlays, and PRESTO....an acquarium desktop...with swimming fish and pearl shortcut icons. *S*
