Internet Explorer Problem

For the last month I have experienced a problem with IE.

When I click on a link that will open the selected link in a new window the new window opens and the program locks. I get a message about reporting the problem and then the program closes. I am able to reopen the program but any time I try to open a second explorer window I experience the same problem.

I had been getting a message about Wild Tangent upon logging on but found a fix to that in another thread.

I greatly appreciate any help offered.

Through other posts I used system restore to repair the problem

my advice is cut your losses! download mozilla here (http://www.download.com/Mozilla/3000-2356_4-10350462.html?tag=lst-0-2)
then just use IE for windows update and nothing more. i used to have all kinds of problems with IE till i just gave up and switched. there are other internet browser for free download if you don't like mozilla.
