Adware/Spyware

Hi there, I currently have pest patrol installed on my computer and have been told that there are better programs than this to find adware and spyware. I was told to install ad-aware and spybot but wasn't sure if this is a good move - is it? Is it good having 2 programs installed that do the exact same thing? If so then what about keeping pest patrol as well and using all 3 would this be beneficial??

It's a good thing they work better and run a lot leaner so they don't hog as many system resouces as Pest Patrol. Also run Firefox or at the least install the google toolbar to get rid of pop ups.
