Wednesday mid-week and the tech world has alot to say..
"Another tech project from Purposeless Productions, this time we headed out to Home Depot to grab some parts for our very own Home Depot Heatsink. As always, we got it all on tape."

"Quiet and powerful are two words that to the computer world are complete opposites. When you think of overclocking and cooling performance you think of big fans and extreme CFM when choosing a fan or cooler. When you think of a quiet solution you immediately rule out overclocking and high performance."

"With so many choices to choose from in the optical drive market of manufactures, there are new standards and new product innovations coming that involve the likes of CD-RW burners and DVD burners. Wanting to be apart of that is Nu Technology. Nu Technology has entered that prosperous market within May of this year (2003). They have some exciting products arriving in the market but why should you buy their products?"

"The first thing I wanted to do was see how far we could push the FSB. As mentioned, anything above 184MHz required us to loosen our memory timings. With that being done, I was able to get stable operation with a FSB of 234 / 468 MHz. Not bad at all, but I feel my memory really proved itself to be a bottleneck this time out. Once we had established our best FSB.."

"When Intel released the i865PE/i875P dual channel core logic alongside the Intel Pentium 4C processors, the memory game changed forever. With a DDR memory controller now capable of running dual channel, the Pentium 4 was no longer to be bandwidth limited as it had been with the i845 series. Those single channel DDR chipsets, like the i845PE for instance, could only provide half the bandwidth required by the Pentium 4 processor due to its single channel memory controller."

"Ever peeked into the BIOS and got your brains scrambled with all the mumbo-jumbo? Maybe it's time to check out the most comprehensive guide on more than 170 BIOS options!"

"It's a functional and different way of carrying an usb memory stick around with you, but I don't think it will stop me using my current drive (although I often forget where I left it.) I believe this defiantly has appeal and is reasonably priced as at the time of writing a 128MB Pen drive + dock station was £75, which some refer to the best all round package."

"Buying a poor quality power supply for a computer is often like buying cheap tires for a car. They'll work for a while, probably not very well, and you're only a small steep away from total disaster. When visiting the local computer stores in my area I always cringe when I hear "just give me the cheapest power supply you have" coming from a customer. If there's one thing I've learned from both testing and troubleshooting PC's, it's that you should never buy a poor quality power supply for your computer."

"If you are looking for the best of the best you can be sure that you will be spending some $$$. But when you are an avid overclocker who doesn't have deep pockets but who still wants to get above average performance, look no further then this all-copper ARMORVS2 heatsink!"

"ConexUSB sells 4 different USB cables: red, white, green, blue are the different colors of the LED's. Now why should anyone want to buy this product? Only because it looks fancy or does it provide some other functionalities as well? In my opinion it has a good function when you want to keep a good eye on your peripherals. So you do not only get the nice lighting, but also a fast way to identify your peripherals according to the colors."
