hey all...

just recently decided on getting a planar monitor, but am undecided on the size.

I'm looking at PL1910M & PL2010M.

the 20" is much more expensive than 19" and has a higher resolution. it does seem to have a lower contrast ratio than the 19"

anyone familiar with the either monitor's pedestal? heard that it wasn't adjustable, by that I mean switching from horizontal posistion to vertical & Up & down.....

it is undoubtly a step up from the veiwsonic 17" VG175 lcd monitor which no longer works properly (ghosting).

would appreciate any comments from everyone here.

is it because the 19" is cheaper?

I have only 1 comment.Don't buy it as better than CRT.I see it as a cosmetic upgrade.
I doubt if it is any better in viewing.I'm planning on a 19 " CRT soon.
Try to make store display comparisons, this is what you stare at everyday.

I'd get the 19 because it's cheaper and also if it's got better contrast. The 20" will only have a higher resolution option because it's a bigger moniotr not becasue it's better technology.

Oldtimer. LCD monitors have way better picture then CRT monitors there is no comparison once you've used an LCD monitor they are so much nicer to view especially when it comes to text.

I still cant decide on what I like the most. I use TFTs all day at work and use a 19 inch CRT at home. A TFT saves a lot of space though, larger CRTs are huge.

Yes thats the points i was trying to make.Maybe didn't state.
The rest is a matter of taste and income.I still have to do some display in person viewing. Not newegg. :p

Dont worry I know what you meant :) And yes I agree. Something like this you have to see before buying.
