i build a new pc with a maxtor 250 GB HD
the problem is that win xp prof does only c about 125 GB
how come ???
does anyone now ?????

ok windows only sees 137 gib of hdd space max. If you want to see the whole drive you first need to make sure you are using SP1 or SP2 for windows. You then need to get and run the drive tools for you brand of drive. That will allow you to see the full size of the drive.

you can use the maxblast 3 cd(if it didn't come w/ your hard drive go to www.maxtor.com and download the ISO) to format your HD to the full 250gigs. but you will have to install SP1 for windows to see the full parition.
