Sony DVD Burner and Nero

I bought a new sony burner last week and i try burn data cd s using new nero but it always says " burn failied at 8X" and " unexpected targert error" the burner works fine with roxio but at the speed of 4X the dvds i use is 8X and my burner write speed is 16X can. I also updated the firmware of the burner but i know for sure sumthing wrong with Nero ony.. below is the specification of my pc ... pls help ASAP

Intel 2.8 HT
512 DDR
60 GIG
SONY DRU 720A burner with updated firmware
Nero 6.0.13

No i dont wanna waste another dvd so i just switched to roxio .... but if u want ill try and let u no the reaction
