Networking a mac (PC good - Mac bad)

Let me start out by saying I don't like macs and don't really know to much about macs...

This person has a D-Link router 802.11G and two laptops, a PC which works fine and she wants her ibook (a year or two old) on the network (wireless) I don't know what to get for a nic or if this is possible using the router she has (I don't know the model of router off hand)...

I don't even know if the ibook has a pcmcia slot?!?

any wireless card will hook up to any wireless router as long as the protocols match. So in this case a wireless b or g card will hook up. As for the specifics for that model It may have built in wifi I can't remember, but if not you probably need to get an external wifi adapter from a Mac store for it. Mac's are picky when it comes to some hardware and wifi is one of them.

Is it a g3 ibook? g4 ibook? what are we working with here? you can get wireless cards from apple for those, or get a USB wireless card that has a mac driver. OS9? OSX? give us the specs, man!

I would give you the specs if I had them... When I find out I'll post them.

I looked around on google for a usb card, I had a hard time finding one with mac drivers. If you could give me a link to one that would be great.... I think it's OS9 but I'm not sure... Like I said when I find out the specs I will post them...

If it's OS9 you may be SOL. Pretty much everything for the mac these days requires OsX10.1
