I agree that as far as servers go Debian is the best. However in a desktop environment it really depends what you need your computer to do. If you want a game machine you need windows. For media and most other applications OsX wins without a doubt. If you want free and don't need games or many media type applications then Debian is your baster. It's all about what you need in terms of which OS is the best.
