Background colors

What main background color do you prefer when viewing websites? Sleek white against colored (ie - black) text, or a black/dark background against white text?

Also what colors do you like? Blues? Lime greens? Orange? *gasp* pink?

Since the new icrontic will be shifting towards a community, I'm thinking something along the lines of sleek/minimalist approach (white background for easy contrast and lots of blues for old-sk00lness) with good amount of emphasis on ease of usage.

I voted the darker but IF we went to the lighter I think it would help re invent the site

I voted darker but I'm basically split 51/49 on the subject. If you go light though I'd rather see greys w/black text instead of white.

Choice is allways nice, but i think white backround/ dark text make for a clean site.

I actualy like the dark backround, but im like Kryyst split 51/49.
