This has apparently been around for awhile and even before Google took it over.

The program is a FREE picture management software you can also do light editing (touch up type stuff). But it's more for laying out albums, making slide shows and doing all that sorta work.

i've been using picasa for quite a while now. The best part about it (for me) is that it supports camera RAW formats for advanced digital cameras. Other software that supports RAW costs a lot of money. :D
