Panasonic FZ50

Does anybody know much about this camera?

I'm looking to get a nice but not too expensive SLR wannabie camera and so far this seems to be my first choice.

Any recommendations, alternatives or good comparison/review sites would be great, is there anything I should be reading before I go out and buy this?
