I was LAN'ng it up at a friends on BF2SF, and I kept getting spikes, or I was unable to join the server. On a whim, I set BF2 to use one core. Why do I have to do this in order for the game to run well enough to play online? I've got the latest version of the game.
If there's no fix floating around, is there some type of string I can run with the game to configure it's affinity automatically to save me from alt-tabbing out of it to change it?
