Mono is a pain. January of last year I was in the hospital twice due to it. Felt like I was swallowing razor blades. Try to alleviate yourself from stress.

I actually did have mono once when I was young. I was unable to do anything for two months and I had to have blood drawn every week. It was utterly horrible. Rest assured I know exactly what you're going through, so I am very far from ignorant when it comes to mono. But regardless, thanks for judging me.

Well, I just got word about the rest of my blood tests and it turns out that I have a very severe case of mono. One doctor wants me in the hospital right now while my primary wants to wait and see how I feel once this upper respiratory infection is cleared up.

Guess I'm not going to the beach for the 4th-6th anymore, makes me a sad panda.

If you've had it, you carry it, but you can only get it once. 90% of adults had it at some point in their life. The doctor who diagnosed me said it actually afflicts a lot of people in their younger teenage years due to stress (and yes kissing omg).

It's not diagnosed since it's figured to be common for teenagers to be tired and sleep in late. These are usually minor cases in which the person would get sick periodically for periods of a month to a year, then it goes away on its own.

Yeah, I don't think I've ever suffered from it myself, but I suppose it's possible that I just got it at a time I didn't notice when I was younger...

However, (and this might be TMI for some) everyone I've ever had a physical relationship with seems to come down with Mono soon after that part of the relationship begins. Other than noticing that pattern, I've never done research on it myself, so I don't even know if it's possible that it could be my fault... :/
