Hey, I have windows vista installed on my machine, and I am using an e-geforce 7600 gt graphics card (pci express) to display my desktop on two monitors. I am soon going to be getting another two monitors, and I did a bit of research on what kind of secondary pci video card would support aero, what with the whole WDDM thing with multiple monitor support. I am thinking about getting a PNY Verto GeForce FX 5200 pci card because I head they would be compatible with aero, but I was wondering if I could get confirmation. Will these two cards work together? All I want is for aero to work... anyone know? :(

As far as I am aware, as long as the card has the grunt required for AERO, it will work fine :)
In comparison, I use a really old X800xl graphics card, which is about the same age as the 5200. I would imagine it would work. Probably best to try and get a 6600GT, that will definitely work :)
The price difference should be very little too.

Thank you for responding! :)
The problem is, I only have room on my motherboard for standard pci slots, not pci-e. As far as I know, the 5200FX is the only nvidia video card that supports standard pci, but if as you say, it works with aero, then I think I'll go with it. Of course, if there IS a geforce 6 series card that supports standard pci, then I would go for it. But I have been looking around, and without much luck... lol I hope someone proves me wrong :)

According to my investigations on the web, the Fx5200 will run aero glass :)

You can snag a 6200 for about $35.00 if you can find them :) and remember you can always pop in 2 PCI cards :)
