Hard drive can be seen But not

Now trying to put a 160 gigs hard drive in the problem
is the Device Manager see it and said it's working fine. :)
But when I open My Computer the second hard drive is
not there. :scratch: The HD is new nothing on it and I know I have
to format, But I have to see it to format it.
I have the jumpers set to slave and the other to master
I didn't over look that and the IDE cable is new

if its brand spanking new, there are no partitions on the hard drive, and thus nothing to access.

you need to use disk manager ( right clikc my computer->manage->disk managment) the hard drive will shop up as black, indicating that the disk is seen but not ready to be used. Right click the drive and initialize it. from there you will be able to create a partition and format it ( USE QUICK FORMAT! ) and then it shows up in my computer. :)
