problem with dvd xplayer

i got this and i'm running it on my laptop. when i start a movie it autoadjusts my brightness all the way to the lowest it will go and when i put it back up it just does it again. i try loading the custom screen settings for lcd and it still lowers my brightness all the way. i dont know what its doing.

I wouldn't spend much time trying to figure out why it doesn't work, just use something else that works.
