The guys who Valve hired to make their new 'Portal' game (Which I'm looking forward to with great expectations (more here (http://orange.half-life2.com/portal.html))), had used the same basic concept (Solving puzzles with user-located teleporters) for their Senior project in video game design school.

It's called Narbacular Drop (http://www.nuclearmonkeysoftware.com/narbaculardrop.html).

It's very short (only a few puzzles long) and the artwork and other aspects of the visuals are pretty bad, but it serves as a neat demo for the physics and puzzles that will be in the game they are making for Valve, which will use the Source Engine, and be set in the world of Half-Life.

Another game in this vein that looks stunning is EchoChrome (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QfICeBtVv8U). What a unique concept!

Valve games are always on the top of my list. Valve is almost like the Blizzard of FPS :)

And Blizzard's must-have genre is dungeon crawls, right? ;) Diablo 3 is another one I wait impatiently for.
