My PC always hang. Event log says A parity error was detected on \Device\Ide\IdeChnDr0. and An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk0\DR0 during a paging operation.

Which Harddisk is having problem?

Whichever one is plugged into the master end of the primary IDE channel.

the harddisk is new. could this be software problem?

Try deleting and recreating your paging file.
