A neighbor kid has been getting random reboots while on the internet with the dialouge box reading 'Remote procedure call...System will shutdown do to NA Authority'....
What is that? I could not duplicate it here at my place. He has win 98 with XP upgrade on top, both on a freshly formatted and partitioned HD and is running Norton AV 2004.

Anyone give me a heads-up?:banghead:

Patch to stop MSblaster working on your XP PC (http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=2354406C-C5B6-44AC-9532-3DE40F69C074&displaylang=en)

and Norton should fix the worm.. if not..

Fixblast.exe from Symantec (http://securityresponse.symantec.com/avcenter/FixBlast.exe)

:)

Ps.. hi Dan mate :D

Thanks guys! I remember he didn't even have an antivirus prog till I noticed it when working on his machine (and probably ignores automatic security updates) .

Do I need to install from safe mode or just shove 'em in?
