Researchers at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute have developed (http://www.eurekalert.org/pub_releases/2007-08/rpi-bbs080907.php) a swank new battery all on a sheet of paper. By embedding carbon nanotubes in regular paper, then saturating the paper with electrolytes, it exhibits capacitance. In the future, this technology could be used to create sheets of supercapacitors or batteries.
