Gamespy and Steam Together?

I was gonna go buy Dawn Of War Platinum, and I found it on steam. I was about to buy it when I stopped and wondered whether or not I could play against non-steam owners of the games. So I have come to ask you, The All And Powerful Short-Media. Wait, the Former Short-Media Now Icrontic Forums, if you know if I can play with all the people that play Dawn Of War in Gamespy or am I stuck with playing the game with the other steam buyers?

Unless theres a .ini you can change the master server in your stuck on steam. (look in steam\steamapps\common)

That happened to me with Tournament.com I couldn't play HL2 with Tournament...
