ArsTechnica has been fielding reports (http://arstechnica.com/news.ars/post/20070825-windows-genuine-advantage-suffers-worldwide-outage-problems-galore.html) of WGA problems since last night. Anonymous sources within Microsoft have confirmed widespread problems with WGA. Ars is currently recommending avoiding pinging the WGA server in any way if you can.

I think this also might be where some are going to discover the value of backing up.
