It wasn't at Best Buy today when I went to pick up Bioshock. Thats probably a good thing for me, but I can't wait to play it.

omfg yes. This is what console FPS should be forever more. It makes playing FPS' on analog sticks seem childish and dumb.

The controls totally rock.

Rick, as soon as I get some friend tokens or whatever, I'll fire one over to you :D

I'll be sure to do the same once I get one

Yes after using the Wii setup I can't imagine playing FPS's on other consoles anymore. I'm going to say it - I prefer the Wii setup for analog better then the mouse/keyboard combo. There I've said it, deal with it.

I feel a great disturbance in the Force. As if millions of voices suddenly cried out in terror, and were suddenly silenced. I fear something terrible has happened.

This is why they called it the revolution.... Seriously.

I dunno if anyone's checked, but I think you need to go to the Extras menu after you select your profile. Under "Configure WiiConnect24" select "Yes." I think you have to have done that so that others can know that you've got a Prime 3 save on your console.

Other than that... I can almost say that I agree with kryyst. The controls work and feel great. Yet, as good as they are, the puzzles may be even more genius. :respect:

I took a break from Zelda and put some time into MP3. You have to go into your extras setup the wiiconnect24 to get your friends going. Though I have no vouchers yet. But Gr81 you show up in the list.

Fantastic game. I could nit pit a little bit that they could have made some of the text stand out a little better and for whatever reason the sound on this game is lower then that of any other Wii game I've played so far. Normally I can have my stereo set to 15 for decent, not wake the whole house audio. MP3 I have it turned up to 25.

But as far as the game play goes. It's a friggen shooter where you use an analog stick to move and a light gun to aim shoot. It's perfect. Even the left hand/right hand slight awkwardness is quickly overcome. It's a nigh-perfect game.

Rick, I sent you two friend tokens last night. i don't remember how I earned them, though :p

I fought Meta Ridley last night - holy crap what a great boss fight!! :eek2:

I'm going through the game very slowly because I'm one of those "scan everything" guys. I don't like how they make you scan things twice sometimes - once for each "state" it's in. For example: You walk by a big metal plate, scan it, it's just some power conduit that is turned off or something. Then you turn on a generator, walk back by it, and... ta-da - it's blue again. This time you scan it and find out it's a power conduit that is "on".

The grappling whip is totally sweet. Locking on to a shield pirate, circle strafing while shooting another space pirate and then locking onto the first one's shield - PHYSICALLY YANKING IT out of his arms with your arm and then turning your gun on him is a totally new video game experience and it ROCKS.

2 things are currently bothering me:
1. I'm stuck. I'm on a broken down aircraft that requires some energy cells to get through this one point early on, and I have no clue how to go about getting them.
2. I seem to be missing some yellow (gold?) medals. Before I got stuck I know I was earning them but I've been at "0" since my first time through Bryyo. I just don't get it.

And Prime, I know what you're talking about, and I play exactly the same way. The first Metroid Prime taught me that. My friend, who started later than I did, actually caught up and surpassed me because of it, and with an hour and a half less time played. ;D

So far the only gold ones I've got were from Shoot juggling some pylon thingies in the first mission. I juggled them 10+ times and got 10 gold. But I'm not that far into the game yet. I typically get purple and blue from boxes and baddies and picked up a couple green, but can't remember where they were from. Also landed 5 friends tokens from completing a mission I think.

So far this game is amzaing. Only reason I haven't gotten further is I'm fighting my wife for Wii time as she's become addicted to Trauma Center.

I'm doing good on medals...I just need a few green ones to unlock bumper stickers and bobbleheads. :p So if you could send a couple friend tokens my way that'd be great :)

I think I'm nearing completion but I've had less and less time to play lately :( Could still be a while.

someone explain to me what the friend tokens do  :)

TheGr81

You use them to get green medals, which you use with the other color medals to unlock stuff.

The game gives you friend vouchers for certain achievements. You trade them with other people, and you can turn however many you received into green medals.

I finally beat MP3. It actually got pretty hard towards the end, trying to keep the corruption down.

Final completion: 87% at exactly 20 hours. :D

My friend beat it at 76% at something like 13:30.

EDIT: Prime, kryyst - I'd appreciate if you could return some of the friend vouchers I sent you guys.

Put your Wii number in your user account or PM me and I'll add you to my friends list. My Wii number is in my profile just arrow over the big 'W'

I picked the game up Sunday. I've probably put in about 5 hours. I like to look around and scan everything, so I'm probably not as far as most people at 5 hours.

However, the controls are pretty sweet. The Gamecube controls bothered me, so I never picked up Metroid Prime 2.

THis one, on the other hand, makes playing a lot of fun. I like the interactions with switches.
