Heavenly Sword follows the adventures of Nariko, a crimson-haired young woman who's the daughter of Shen, the chief of a rural warrior tribe. The tribe is tasked with guarding the Heavenly Sword, a weapon that was apparently once wielded by a god. Although the sword's energy has protected the clan for centuries, that ceases to be the case when evil king Bohan comes calling, wipes out much of the clan, and imprisons Shen so that he can get his hands on the sword. But before his troops manage to capture the weapon, Nariko reaches it and begins using it to rescue her father. However, the weapon was not intended to be used by mortals, and it begins to drain her life force as she wields it. Will she be able to find her father and defeat the king before sacrificing her life?

This is probably one of the most anticipated PS3 games to have come out. The game looks to have some sweet mechanics built into it, and from the short Demo I was able to see a handful of the 1000's of button combos to make some sweet moves. This game also makes good use of the motion controls in the control to pick your finishing moves. If you have seen this game, make sure to check it out. As it is one of the many sweet games that are making the PS3 more appealing.

That much hair would totally get in the way of trying to do any real fighting. :P

She is a Ninja... the power of the Ninja is far beyond what your mind can comprehend. :)

Cmon' now..That much hair would provide a tactical advantage if it was worn loose in the back but tight in front. It could be used to obscure motions, or weapons or dolled up to be used as a shiny distraction. Ribbons could be tied in about half way to provide a better path of sight-blockage, and it could even be used as a weapon given a smith could make a flanged weight that was just enough to add mass, but not enough to stress it.

I wonder if she uses any of the ninja classics, like caltrops, or dual uzis, like my favorite ninja, Lo Wang The Shadow Warrior.

Was Lo Wang the ninja game they did with the Build engine?

Um, Lo Wang was an ID character. Same engine they did Duke Nukem 3d on so I don't know.

Yes, Shadow Warrior was built with 3DRealms' BUILD engine.

HS uses a new game engine if I am not mistaken...

Yes it does, but we're not talking about HS. Another one of your threads got hijacked. :P
