I just got my internet up and running again but I've hit a problem.
When I try to download something, it downloads about 3% and then says its completed. Then when I try to load it, it says its not a valid Win32 program.
Any ideas.

Sounds like a corrupted download. Probably not downloading the whole file. I've had similar issues when trying to download from some ftp sites. Using a download accelerator fixed it.
Does it happen to everything you try to download, or is it a specific file that has this issue?

Everything. If any of you know War Rock, I can't play it because it needs to update. It says cannot open ZIP file and stops. Sometimes it downloads more, sometimes less but never fully.
Sounds like your connection is being intermittently interrupted.

Call your ISP and ask some questions, then kick some asses.

But their is also a laptop and a PSP on the router aswell and they don't stop working. If it was being interupted, wouldn't it stop you surfing the net?

Try downloading something on a 360/ps3. If they download fine you can pretty much elimintate the ISP as the problem and then figure out why the computer is doing it. I'm not sure how MS/Sony have their downloads system set up for the gaming consoles, but i'm pretty sure youd get an error as well if the download was interrupted.

I'll try that but I play my PSP online and it never is interupted or loses connection.
You could just be experiencing some packet loss, which might not necessarily effect online games as much as downloads

Is there any way to stop this because it happens with all downloads.

Could be a browser problem?
