Question about DHCP Server

Hi all
I have installed windows 2003 server and configured it as DHCP server. This is the only Server Operating System on my network.
There is no Active Directory (Domain Controller) to authorize this DHCP server.
Now my question is, Is it Possible to run DHCP Server alone to assign IP to client in network where there is no DC to Authorize the DHCP server.
This time i'm having problem, the client is not getting IP from DHCP server instead it's taking APIPA.

Yes, very possible. I think you have some other problem there. Obviously your client(s) is/are set for auto addressing or APIPA wouldn't be coughing up 169. crap. So there is some other reason clients aren't seeing your DHCP server. I think there is something amiss in your DHCP server set up. I'd go to that Manage Server thing and check out what it says about your DHCP settings.
