Winlogon.exe error

Forgive me if this isn't the right area to post.....

Winlogon.exe error-bad image is the error I get at boot up. I am able to just hit enter and get past it, but am unable to get into any emails or anything. Everything else seems to work fine.

Can someone help me fix this error? It came out of nowhere and I have no clue as to what would have caused it.:confused:

Assuming this is windows XP, put your install CD in the CD ROM drive, click start-->run and type SFC /SCANNOW and hit OK to start.

It might take a while, but could restore the winlogon.exe file. Other method is using recovery console to expand the file and replace it manually:
