One of Nintendo's biggest anticipated sellers this holiday season is The 'Legend of Zelda: The Phantom Hourglass'. The game is expected to sell over a million copies (http://mobile.reuters.com/mobile/m/FullArticle/CTECH/ntechnologyNews_uUSPAR45806420071004)in the first two months on the shelf.

The new entry will be for the DS, and will be controlled almost entirely by the stylus input, allowing players to get into the game without having to learn a potentially complex control scheme. The previous entry to the Zelda Franchise, 'Twilight Princess' for the Wii is controlled almost entirely with the motion sensing capabilities of the Wiimote, and has sold over five-million units to date.

The Legend of Zelda series has been one of the most popular game franchises in history, and Nintendo's goal with many of their new games seems to be accessibility. While companies like Microsoft and EA continue to appeal to the gamers who've been at it the longest, and who require the newest, and most performance-oriented technology.

Not competing for the same share of the market, competing in number of sales an in profit margin.
