Mike delivers the goods in his indepth review of the Buffalo Firestix PC2-6400 (http://icrontic.com/articles/buffalo_firestix_pc2_6400) memory:
Buffalo may not be the first name that springs to mind when thinking about enthusiast DDR2 but with their new line of ‘Firestix’, that is sure to change.

Also, excellent review for a pretty pedestrian item. Looks like 1100Mhz is the sweet spot.

Thank you, sir :)
It hits a pretty hard frequency limit beyond that point, but 1100MHz at that voltage is quite good. I hope to give this kit a try on an Intel P35 platform in the near future.

Really good information on the whole. I'm relatively new to ddr2 and was used to putting cas latency above all things for determining RAM speed. Looks like frequency is a much better indicator for the overall through-put.
Great article!

Above and beyond, Mike! A review of this calibre for such a "normal" item really shows how the Icrontic style shines :)
When people are learning things by a mere "review", that shows the skill of the reviewer! :D
GREAT work!
